Canadian Technician and AIA Canada would like to conduct a focus group of Technicians and shop owners. The focus group will concentrate on your opinions about new programs and initiatives that the industry should be doing in order to better help the independent service provider. We have a max attendance of 10-12 shops so if you are interested please contact me directly. It will probably take place in Toronto area, mid September.

Thank you for your interest in helping us!

I have had some good response and questions about the focus group so I decided to add a few more details to the posting.

This focus group will take place near the end of September and there is no cost to you for participating. We will decide a date once we have a small group of people together that would like to participate. The meeting will take place in the evening, starting sometime around 6pm and will only take about 60-90 minutes.

The location will be somewhere in the GTA (near airport maybe) still to be decided based on group.

The topic that we would like your input about is for preventive maintenance issues. There are some great ideas in the industry about how to help shops generate and capture more of this business and we would like the input of shops on how to improve, alter, and enhance these ideas.

Thank you to all that have emailed me about wanting to participate. We would like a few more people to volunteer their time to chat with other shop owners/technicians and also have a great discussion.

My email is mjohns@newcom.ca for anyone that would like to find out more details or would like to participate.
