Members of the CT Forum,

David Menzies, editor at Canadian Technician is looking for some material for a story we'll be running in the September issue. If anyone knows of any shops who are leading the way in wiper blade maintenance, let us know! Maybe you have a anecdote to share on getting your customers to replace their wipers more often, or maybe you have a large wiper blade business.

If you have information you would like to submit, drop David or myself a line at david@canadiantechnician.ca or sarah@canadiantechnician.ca. Your help is appreciated

Thanks in advance!

Sarah - the CT intern

Enjoy "The Car Side"? Has anyone yet picked up his new book " A fine day for a drive"? I had the pleasure of meeting Rick several weeks past. He had stopped in my shop, chatted, and I purchased a copy. If you enjoy is column you will also enjoy his book. I am only several chapters in, it reads just like his column. He does have quite the talent of taking the simple and everyday experience and vocalizing it in a descriptively hillarious way. Thanks Rick

that is my $0.02,
Going over to another thread. I too have been crazy busy and just pop in to see what is new and have been posting very little, but still here.

The other day I wanted to buy the dipstick tool required to check
transmission fluid on certain newer Chrysler products. I called our
local (name withheld) dealership and was told I could not even be
given a price or part number, let alone order one - this tool is for
dealership ONLY.
We have a voluntarily R2R agreeement in Canada, and if the information regarding dates and other implementation benchmarks is out there it would make for a good article. For example, in case I just ran into, if they are required to sell this to me as of this date, and they refuse, what, if any, recourse do I have?
Tools, training, scan tools, implementation dates, any information
on this would be handy.
