Mevotech has announced a new OEM replacement ball joint for the Ford F-150, Ford Expedition, and Explorer pickups, as well various other applications.

Mevotech performs a knurling process on the outer housing of the new ball joint (part number MK8695T) which allows press-in ball joints like this to grip and mate with the control arm. This is important because it also compensates for wear and deformation of the mating control arm.

This ball joint is finished in a specially engineered coating which provides a high resistance to corrosion from factors such as road debris, salt, and other weather conditions.
