Mazda Canada gets new interim president
03/07/12

Shusuke "Kory" Koreeda has been named interim president of Mazda Canada Inc.

His official appointment to president is expected to be approved at Mazda Motor Corporation later this month.

A 32-year veteran of Mazda and most recently executive vice president of MCI, Koreeda succeeds Don Romano, who has elected to leave the company effective today (July 3). Koreeda has served in a variety of executive positions at MC in Japan and with Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) in the United States.

In making the announcement, Masahiro Moro, executive officer for global sales and marketing for Mazda Motor Corporation, said, "Kory brings a wealth of North American experience to his new role and I'm confident that his leadership will guide our Canadian team to even greater success."

Prior to joining MCI as executive vice president in 2011, Koreeda was general manager of the global marketing division at Mazda Motor Corporation responsible for all marketing matters globally for MC. From 2003 to 2009 Koreeda served in a variety of executive positions at MNAO.

Mazda Canada Inc. is responsible for the sales and marketing, customer service and parts support of Mazda vehicles in Canada. Headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Mazda Canada has a nationwide network of 165 dealerships.
